The Memorial Ceremony started at 0730 blessed with beautiful weather and the arrival of invited guests including the Diplomat Heads and the Defense Attache's among others. The event started with the opening speech by the British High Commissioner to Malaysia , Ms Ailsa Terry, CMG then followed by the simple programmes including the Sounding of the Last Post and Two Minutes Silence observed. After which, the British High Commissioner led the wreath laying ceremony at the Memorial then followed by others in turn, including MACVA members conducted by CM Captain Pui ST (R) RMAF and Captain Benjamin Au (R) Army.
The ceremony completed at around 0900 and all participants adjourned to the Kamala Lodge just across the road for breakfast and interactions.
On the way back to KL, we stopped by Lt. Col Chua Eng Lye (R) Army's place for a courtesy visit and to assist him in his medical conditions and to sort out his other predicaments.
Subsequently, the journey back to KL was uneventful and all arrived home safely at night after the long and hectic days.
Many thanks to Hon Sec, Tony Ho Weng Kong (R) Navy in providing the transportation for the trip.
