MACVs Welfare Visits

MACVs visited Lt Paul Kwong RMN (Rtd) at Taman Tun, Kuala Lumpur on 9 Jan 18. Paul is recuperating from a cancer operation and will be beginning his chemotherapy. The visiting MACVs comprises of Klang Valley RMN members who took time off to visit their comrade and wish him well. RMN VP First Admiral Datuk Kay Hai Thuan RMN (Rtd) was present and presented him with a Get Well Soon Ang Pow. Paul, his wife Sharan and his 2 children were happy and appreciated the MACVA visit.

Northen MACVs visited Sgt Ronnie Kong Chee Chai RMAF (Rtd) at Penang General Hospital on 11 Jan 18. He is recovering from a sucessfully kidney operation performed on 8 Jan 18. The support by all in both visits show great comradeship among MACVs. Bravo Zulu to all who have made the effort. It is one of MACVA objectives to render assistance and support to its Veteran members who are in dire need of help and we pray for their speedy recovery.

MACVs visited WO 1 Hor Wah Sim RMAF (Rtd) at Selayang Hospital on 14 Dec 17. The visiting MACVs comprises of Klang Valley RMAF members who took time off to visit their comrade and wish him a speedy recovery. MACVs who were present each signed on a Get Well Soon card presented to him.

Northen MACVs visited Cpl Goo Pim Kim RMAF (Rtd) at Lam Wah Ee Hospital, Penang on 29 Dec 17. He underwent a successful heart bypass surgery on 23 Dec 17. The show of support by all those involved in this small effort demonstrates great comradeship among MACVs and kudos to all who have made the effort. It is one of MACVA objectives to render assistance and support to its Veteran members who are in dire need of help and we pray for their speedy recovery.

Meeting With Northen Chapter Flood Victims And Members

A lunch meeting with the Northen Chapter members and the recent flood victims was held at the Kim Hee Restaurant, Bukit Mertajam on Monday, 27 November 2017 at 1.00 pm. The main purpose of the meeting was for to meet up with Northen Chapter members and MACVs who were victims of the recent flood in Bukit Mertajam. Those present includes:-

It was a fruitful and meaningful meeting. MACVA would like to thank Loo Ah Seng for his generosity in sponsoring the lunch. A visit to Ng Chow Sing's house in Taman Rambai was made and the damages were substantial. It is our hope that the financial assistance donated by MACVA members and friend is able to lessen the burden of the flood victims.

The President and the Management Committee of MACVA has approved on 5 Nov 17 to provide an immediate financial assistance to MACVs who is affected by the flash flood on 4 November 2017. A donation for the flood victims was lauched on Monday, 6 Nov 17 and ended at 2359 hrs on Thursday, 16 Nov 17. A total of 288 MACVs, non-members, friends and children donated generously to the appeal. The response was overwhemling and way beyond the our expectation.

The total donation received is RM78,128.00 of which an initial amount of RM2,000.00 was extended to twelve members on Thursday, 9 Nov 17. The balance of the fund were given out equally to the 12 victims with each receiving RM4,333.00 and a contribution to another lesser flood victim with RM2,132.00. The total donation collection were pay out to the 13 flood victims with zero balance.

On behalf of the President and Committee Members and the flood victims, we would like to extend our gratitude and thank you to MACVs and everyone who have assisted unselfishly and generously. All flood victims are very grateful of the financial assistance that they received in their time of need and register their sincere thanks to MACVA for making the donations possible. The comradeship shown and care for the welfare of members in time of calamity has further strengthened the relevance of MACVA and its 'Credible Voice'.

MACVs visited Sgt Loke Kok Lang RMAF (Rtd) at Gereja Charis Shelter Home at Pudu on 2 Nov 17 and WO 1 Tan Chong Hee RMAF (Rtd) at Kota Kemuning on 6 Nov 17. The visiting MACVs comprises of Klang Valley RMAF members who took time off to visit their comrades to cheer them up. Also present to visit his fellow colleagues was MACVA RMAF VP LAC Joe Pie Chong Seng RMAF (Rtd). The show of support by all those involved in this small effort demonstrates great comradeship among MACVs. It is one of MACVA objectives to render assistance and support to its Veteran members who are in dire need of help and we pray for their speedy recovery.

The visiting MACVs comprises of Klang Valley RMAF members who took time off to visit their comrades to cheer them up. Also present to visit his fellow colleagues was MACVA RMAF VP LAC Joe Pie Chong Seng RMAF (Rtd).

Northen MACVs visited F/Sgt Teng Lim Kooi RMAF (Rtd) who underwent a successful right knee cap replacement operation at Penang General Hospital on 29 Oct 17. The show of support by all those involved in this small effort demonstrates great comradeship among MACVs.
